Photograph caption dated May 7, 1957 reads "Dreams are destroyed. Noah Beery, brother of actor Wallace Beery, and his associates planted thousands of trees and laid out Big Rock Canyon for subdivision development in 1928 when a huge lounge including stage, recreation facilities and five fireplaces was constructed out of native stone. Flames destroyed center in 1939 and dreams of a subdivision went up in smoke." See images 00154536 through 00154541 for all photos in this series.
