Photograph of a view of Main Street looking north from below Second Street, Los Angeles, ca.1884. A streetcar navigates down the unpaved street along with horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians. St. Vibiana's Cathedral, with its arabasque architecture, is visible to the right, in front of which a dog stands on the sidewalk. Trees line the left side of the street while more elaborately-designed buildings fill the rest of the right side.
