Description
Photograph of a twenty-ton meteorite comprised of nickel and iron discovered in Oregon City, Oregon, ca.1920. A coil of rope sits in front of the meteorite, which is supported by a platform made of about ten wooden beams. The perimeter is surrounded first by a short wooden fence and then, in the background, a taller picket fence. Sparse trees are visible, and some kind of structure stands in the extreme background.
