Description
Photograph caption dated February 3, 1942 reads, "This photo was introduced as evidence by Deputy Police Chief Michael McDermott of New York, a state witness, at the Siegel trial. It shows, according to McDermott, Siegel, 1, whose features had been 'blacked out,' in the company of Harry 'Big Greenie' Schachter (second from right); Louis 'Lepke' Buchalter (right), and two others. McDermott produced the photo in an effort to prove his testimony that Siegel was a character who is always around 'with a bunch of hoodlums.'" The other two men are Joseph "Doc Harris" Rosen (left) and Harry Teitlebaum (right of Siegel).; This is a copy of an original line-up photograph of these men; see image 00010127.
