Description
Pictured here is a corner view of the National Shirt Shops store at the southwest corner of First Street and Pine Avenue. It has a shiny, dark facade at street level. The building's brick construction is visible on the second level. The general design and lettering on the store has modern art deco features. Under the "National Shirt Shops" letters mounted on both sides of the store are the words, "Coast to Coast." The display windows are crowded with shirts and ties. Signage painted along the upper edges of the windows read, "Ties, Shirts, Pajamas," and "Belts." Signs in the window at far left offer shirts for $1.65. In the right lower quadrant of this image, a traffic light is visible in the foreground. DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: Yes.
