Description
Photograph of the interior of the ruins of the cathedral at Reims (Ypres?), ca.1915. The sky is visible through a massive hole in the high roof of the cathedral at right. At center is an archway leading to a long, dark hallway with a colonnade at left. Another archway is at left, leading outside of the ruined house of worship. The floor of the building is covered in rubble from the roof and the smashed bricks near the top of the walls. Outside of the building is a large mound of rubble.
