Photograph of a view of the Arch Bend Road section of Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, ca.1952. The four-lane highway runs from the foreground at left into the distance at right. It is lined with an assortment of small buildings, including houses, restaurants, and shops. Many automobiles can be seen on the road or parked in lots nearby. The ocean can be seen at left, and a tall mountain tapers quickly toward the water from right. At the base of the mountain, many buildings are visible. Legible signs include, from left to right, "Launderette 30 Minute Wash Parking", "The Flats Mexican Food", "Coca Cola", "Sleepy Hollow Mkt", and "Used Cars John Weld Bought Sold".
