Description
This is a photograph of Sister Ellen Mary with a Fushun orphan who is busy eating something. "This little creature was mighty hungry when she arrived at the Fushun Mission orphanage. A camera meant nothing to her. All her attention was centered on the sandwich that the Sister gave her to hold her over until meal-time. Sister Ellen Mary mentioned that she too was hungry. The bruised face shows the ill treatment she had formerly received."
