"Meadowsweet was a model dairy, with purebred cows producing high-quality milk. The owner, Frank Keever, was a regular cooperator with the Agricultural Extension Service. In 1932 their routes were sold to Borden's after a divorce ended the dairy. Borden's Dairy Delivery Co. (formerly the Marin Milk Company) was located in San Rafael. It supplied 6,000 families in Marin with fresh milk, butter and eggs. The 'cream top' bottle was a specialty." Editor, M.B. Boissevain: Marin's First Farm Advisor; Historical Photographs of Marin's Agrarian Roots: 1920-1950 "San Francisco has declared July 1, 1933 as the date after which no milk except from TB free herds will be admitted. Marin dairymen Trumbull, Silveira, Corda, Freitas, and Mattos decide to form a TB control area (Marin) so they could reap the advantages of their proximity to San Francisco to supply local milk."
