Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated March 4, 1954 reads "Overall view of Los Angeles City's rehabilitation center for alcoholics in Bouquet Canyon. So-called 'drunk farm,' built at cost of $2,220,000 will confine maximum of 600 persons." The article partially reads "The center is located at 2700 Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus, about 40 miles north of the City Hall." The center closed around 1969 and the land was later sold by the City of Los Angeles.; See images #00134978 through #00134979 for all photos in this series.
