Description
Photograph of a view of Hope Street looking south from the site of a public library, ca.1910. A paved road can be seen lined on both sides with tall buildings from the center foreground into the right background. Most of the buildings are made from brick, have flat roofs, and rectangular windows. The building at left has tall arches on its first story. Early automobiles can be seen parked on the sides of the road and driving in the street. Pedestrians can be seen on the sidewalks and crossing the street. A tree is visible in the left foreground, while a sign on top of a building at right reads, "YMCA".
