Photograph of a view of the Colorado River aqueduct under construction, December 12, 1936. A massive pipe runs from the foreground at right into the distance at left. Large amounts of scaffolding are constructed around the cylindrical pipe at let, while a large metal platform is at right. Many smaller pipes and valves can be seen in the platform, and a man can be seen sitting on top. The large pipe is partially sunk into the ground. Gently sloping hills can be seen in the background.
