Description
Photograph of two young girls on Capitol grounds in Sacramento, ca.1900. The two girls wear lightly-colored dresses as they look towards the foreground from the paved path at center. The girl on the right is apparently older with light ringlets and dark tights. She holds the smaller, brunette girl's hand. A young flower bed with only small plants in it lies to the immediate left of the girls. Behind the flower bed, thick trees stand over the path from the left into the background. A row of large trees, many surrounded with benches, stands across the manicured lawn on the right.
