Photograph article dated July 31, 1963 partially reads, "Operations spreading across the nation and over the blue Pacific to Japan is the story of International Industries Inc., of North Hollywood. Formerly the International House of Pancakes, International Industries is celebrating its fifth anniversary this month and commemorated the occasion by opening the 63rd House of Pancakes at the corner of Haskel Ave. and Ventura Blvd., Encino. It was in July of 1958 that the firm opened its first of the chain of restaurants, the Pancake House at the corner of Rose Ave. and Riverside Dr. in Toluca Lake."
