Description
Photograph caption dated March 28, 1962 reads, "The smiling officer sitting in his squad car is named Gunther. The number of his car is 54. Is he on television's 'Car 54, Where are you?' No, he's a member of the Los Angeles police department in the West Valley division. His first name is Ernie, and he claims he gets good-humored when people say he's a television star-- Gunther on 'Car 54.' West Valley's Gunther is also director of the Valley YMCA Rodeo set for April 14 and 15 at Devonshire Downs, Northridge."
