Description: View looking across the quadrangle lawn toward the main entrance to San Jose State Normal School. The main entrance gate has three arches and faces Fourth Street. On the right is one of the classroom wings connected to a colonnaded arcade. The structure was built of reinforced concrete to replace one destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. It opened in September 1910.
