Description
This 1988 photograph shows a symbolic line of gold-painted shovels, primed for the 35 million dollar groundbreaking and expansion of the Sacramento City Library’s main branch, located at 828 I Street. In the background, at Eighth and J Streets, is the Bank of California parking structure, built in 1959.
