View of a mountain man on horseback in prairie grass on the plains, four indians in the background to the left. Text below the print: Painted by A.F. Tait (left); Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1852 by N. Currier, in the Clerk's office of the District Court of the Southern District of N.Y. (center); Lith. of N. Currier, N.Y. (right). [Otto Knirsch, lithographer]; the first of Tait's western pictures to be lithographed by Currier.
