Description
Photograph of three sailboats, each manned by two boaters, ca.1930. At center, two adolescent girls in sleeveless wear sit in a sailboat marked "5" that tilts slightly to the right on an unidentified body of water. To their left, two hat-wearing boaters lean back as their boat, marked "11", makes a sharp tilt to the right. Slightly behind the right-hand side of the centermost boat is a third sailboat, marked "12" and manned by two girls donning striped shirts. In the background, behind a concrete boardwalk, lies a strip lined with houses and utility poles. A concrete stair on the extreme right leads to the water below, and another can be seen in the center of the picture.
