The article partially reads, "Joy wears the Miss U.S.A. crown until the next pageant in August. But she wouldn't be the Joy (a namesake given by a priest at her birth) she is if it weren't for the weekend retreats from the world of glamour and glitter--retreats she shares with her family, friends and pets in Northridge."; See images #00122918 through #00122922 for all photos in this series, published in the weekend edition dated February 14-February 17, 1963.
