Photograph caption dated January 23, 1965 reads, "Members of the Valley Braille Transcribers Guild learned the practical application of their work at a meeting last week. Three blind students, integrated into the city school system, explained the importance of having textbooks in braille. Examining one of the books being transcribed are, from left, Gil Pries, 17, Van Nuys High School; Richard McChesney, 13, Fulton Junior High School; and Richard Barner, 21, Valley College. Mrs. Pat Taylor, center, is McChesney's resource teacher."
