The headquarters of the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) at 1111 Sunset Blvd. was designed by William L. Pereira & Associates in 1961 and completed in 1963. 30 years later, the MWD moved their offices to another location and this structure sat vacant for almost 2 decades. In 2014, the tower building on the property reopened as The Elysian residential complex.
