Description
Japanese women and children, who had been interned at the Santa Anita Assembly Center for several months, are shown on September 21, 1942, waiting for transportation as they left with 500 others for the Rehwer Relocation Center in Arkansas. Left to right, Mrs. Ichiyo Nishikawa and Mamoru Nishikawa, Mrs. K. Kotabe and Takeshi Kotabe, Mrs. Miyo Doichwi and Laurel Doichwi, Mrs. Maye Kawahara and Shirley Anne Kawahara, and Mrs. Lily Kiyasu and Peter.
