Here is the large Brooks clothing department store at 116 E. Broadway, on the southeast corner of Broadway and Pine Avenue. Pedestrians are crossing Broadway and stand on the corner and in front of the store. A small child is crossing Broadway, pulling a doll in a toy carriage. Tall arched display windows wrap around this multi-story building. Mounted on the building are electric neon signs with read: "Brooks Just One Single Price; $25, Suits; Coats." Painted on the large windows over the entrance at far right are these messages: "Brooks Entrance Around Corner on E. Broadway;" and "Factory To You, Suits, $25, Coats, Open Saturday." With its large store sign mounted on the roof at left in the background, the Emporium can also be seen. At far right, the one-story book and stationery store of McCutchen and Jutson at 146 Pine Avenue has a large awning which extends over the sidewalk. Near the roof, the stationer's building is dated, "1903." Rail tracks and Pine Avenue fill the foreground. DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: Yes.
