Description
Loyalist mural, Hopewell Avenue, Lower Shankill, West Belfast, 2000. Mural commemorates Stevie McCrea, killed by IPLO (Irish People's Liberation Organisation -breakaway group from INLA) in 1989; mural depicts Red Hand Commando flags and insignia (RHC - a small group closely associated with the Ulster Volunteer Force), over memorial, flanked by two armed RHC volunteers (who appear in the form of regular soldiers); just visible to the right is Crumlin Road jail.
