Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Mount Palomar Observatory showing a large door, ca.1930-1940. In the center, the large doors of the observatory are visible with rectangular indents of ornamentation. Directly in front of the doors stands what appears to be a woman, her shadow is cast on the door. There is gravel in the foreground of the picture and a pile of dirt to the left of the doors. To the right of the doors sits what seems to be a contraption used for maintenance on two wheels. The exterior walls of the concrete base of the observatory surround the doorway.
