Description
The Palace of Fine Arts, as viewed from the east, is depicted in this artistic rendering from circa 1915. Built as part of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915, the Palace was undoubtedly the most popular feature on event grounds. Intended to be temporary, the complex was made of wood, and covered with staff, a mixture of plaster and burlap fiber.
