Description
Photograph of a complex of buildings at the Empire Mine in Grass Valley, ca.1910. Two large, warehouse-style buildings are pictured on a gentle slope at the right of center, where a man can be seen making his way towards the set of stairs that leads between the two buildings. To the left, a steep trestle appears to be elevator for dumping raw ore. Some posts or pilings are visible, stacked loosely to its left.
