Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Jockey Raymond York was a thoroughbred horse racing jockey who began his career in 1949 and retired in 1992; but on January 13, 2000 at the age of 66, he rode a 4-year-old gelding at Santa Anita Park, becoming the first jockey to have ridden in seven different decades. Throughout his career, York won 3,082 races. Photograph dated February 25, 1954 reads, "A. J. Crevolin's speedy Imbros, shown above winning stake with Jockey Ray York up, will be lengthening out in Santa Anita Handicap Saturday at mile and one-quarter. Imbros set new world record for seven furlongs early in current Santa Anita meeting."
