Description
Herbert S. Wood, arrow, principal of Fremont High School is shown as he took away strike placards from students who participated in the anti-Negro demonstration at the school. Several hundred students were suspended as the result of two demonstrations staged by students against the enrollment of six Negro girls. Photo dated: March 17, 1947.
