Description
This 1948 photograph of the Goodyear Tire Store at 1724 10th St. reveals the scale of the building, which measured some 23,000 square feet in area. In 1934, Sacramento's Goodyear branch became the highest seller of Goodyear products in the country. Nearly 20 years earlier, the California State Fair would have its first visit from one of the 20th century's most recognizable corporate symbols, the Goodyear blimp.
