The Joy of Giving. We’re seniors living simply on a limited income. I drive a 99 Honda Accord which I like. I don’t need a new car. This allowed us to share when Covid hit. People are desperately in need. We enjoyed giving - to food banks and the homeless. Especially to The Living Room - a shelter for battered and homeless women and children. They needed Christmas trees. I asked a local nursery if they would donate one. They did AND $100 worth of Christmas ornaments! I bought three trees. My neighbor gave a box of ornaments. Another neighbor delivered the trees. A Facebook account was setup for The Living Room and $850 was collected. Others gave ornaments, lights and...An article was in our local paper which brought business to our local nursery and donations to The Living Room. Many people joined in to bring Christmas cheer and received The Joy of Giving!
