Description
A woman in Parisian attire plays the harp. She wears a straw hat trimmed in light-green crepe with a triangular cockade on the front. It is trimmed in red and tied with a red ribbon. Her dress is white with quarter-length sleeves. Stripes with hexagonal patterns adorn the sleeves and the low neck. She wears a blue belt and a gold bracelet. The white skirt is wrapped around behind her and drapes to the floor. The hem is edged with a dotted zigzag pattern with a hexagonal pattern above. She plays a large wooden harp decorated with criss-crossed laurel garlands and black dots in a circle. The front staff of the harp is wrapped with gold laurel leaves leading into other gold decorations on the base and top of the harp. She sits on a large settee with hunter green cushions, lilac draping, and ruby red tassels. The left side of the settee is decorated with a carved swan with a white body, yellow wings and green legs. The floor is patterned in alternating black and white squares.
