Description: St. Francis Dam in San Francisquito Canyon near Saugus was completed in 1926 and failed in 1928. It was part of the Owens Valley Aqueduct System. This pre-failure photograph shows the exterior of the power plant at the base of a hill with pipes running up the hill.
