Karen Thompson autographs a copy of her book, "Why Can't Sharon Kowalski Come Home?" for San Mateo County Supervisor Tom Nolan at a BAYMEC event in her honor.
The Bay Area Municipal Elections Committee (BAYMEC) is a non-partisan, political action committee serving the civil rights concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in the central coast counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey since 1984. Written on verso: "Caron Thompson + Tom Nolan, Supervisor." Photo was publsihed in BAYMEC newsletter, July 1990.
