Description
This view of Ocean Boulevard is looking west from Pine Avenue. Train tracks and red cars can be seen in the middle of the boulevard. Hoyt"s Theater and the Arlington Hotel are visible near the center of the print. Two tall radio station broadcasting towers are visible at lower left. Just beyond Hoyt"s Theater are the Blackstone and Sovereign Hotels. The Kennebec and Schuyler Hotels are pictured in the right lower corner of the print. Hotel Kennebec stands at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Ocean Boulevard, just across the street from tree-filled Lincoln Park, visible with palms growing close together along the parkway. The Hotel Rose is can be seen two blocks west beyond the park. Busy Long Beach Harbor is in the background along the horizon. DATE NOTES: Circa 1920's. ORIG. IMAGE: 5" x 7" B&W glossy print.
