Akiyama, resident of Westminster since 1926 (35 years), who, like his native people of Japan, is famed for his enthusiasm in goldfish production, has been carrying on since 1934 with the Westminster Goldfish Farm started by his father who came to Westminster from Japan. He shows how the goldfish are given oxygen continuously at the farm in a goldfish bed where thousands of goldfish are in each bed. The farm is located at 14911 Goldenwest Street. 2: White Fire Truck and 2 men, pictures 3 and 4 on roll ... The Westminster Volunteer Fire Department organized in 1949 has the only white rescue truck in Orange County". Supplementary material continues: "Everybody has a red truck and red convertible, Mel Ingram, Westminster Fire Chief said, so my dream of a white fire truck came true when the Westminster City Councilmen and Fire Department not only stumbled upon a white fire truck but bought it for the Fire Department. The people of Westminster are real proud of their white fire truck. Mel Ingram, Westminster Fire Chief standing in piture looking up at Engineer McGarry, driver. (They always refer to McGarry as Engineer McGarry. Never use his first name.) Negatives to Conrad. 3: First Presbyterian Church, Westminster. Man in picture is Robert C. Whitlock of Westminster Chamber of Commerce. Pictures 5 and 6 on roll ... The Westminster Chamber of Commerce has associate chambers at the County, State and National levels and Robert C. Whitlock (pictured) voices sentimental expression towards the new First Presbyterian Church, Westminster, as it is symbolic of Westminster's first pastor and founder, the Reverend L.P. Webber. 4: Girl and old white building. Pictures 7 and 8 on roll. Built in 1900, the old Westminster I.O.O.F. is Westminster's oldest standing building and serves as a hall for the weekly meetings of Westminster's newest fraternal Masonic Lodge. Pictured with the oldest building is the City's newest Official Hostess, Miss Westminster, lovely 17-year-old Marilyn Nielsen, a student at Westminster High School. It's a touch of the old and new everywhere in Orange County's littlest, fastest growing Christian colony".
