Compiled for Geo. Schultzberg, School Superintendent by H. Cozzens, County Surveyor, 1916. This map is from MCFL’s institutional archive documenting the library’s early history from 1912 of establishing remote library branches and collections in schools, post offices, barns, and ranches throughout the county. This map has pencil marks likely drawn by Anne Hadden, first Monterey County Librarian showing the route east from King City along the San Lorenzo river to the remote community of Lewis, along with a penciled route from San Miguel to Cholame.
