Photograph caption dated January 23, 1957 reads "Members of Calvary Lutheran Church of Panorama City are shown as they helped Karl Bendel family of Haar, Germany, get settled in new Valley home. Seated on floor are Richard Baughman, 10, of Pacoima; Michael Bendel, 11, and his brother, Wolf, 13, of Germany, and Nancy Baughman, 8. Seated behind children are Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bendel and the Rev. B. T. Anderson. Standing at rear are Bonnie Gayle Baughman, 2, Merrill Baughman and Mrs. Irene Baughman holding Donna, 10 months."
