Description
In the town of Vire in Normandy, Jean Le Houx, an advocate of the town, collected and wrote on his own a number of drinking songs and poems to wine and spirits. These went through a number of editions in French. This fine press Nineteenth Century edition of those poems translated into English and augmented with some lovely illustrations, is a handsome volume. It contains some music.
