Description
A panorama photograph of members of the Pasadena Buddhist Temple sitting and standing in rows outside of the temple to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the temple. Various children and adults in the photograph are wearing kimonos and other festive outfits. The caption at the bottom of the photograph reads "Pasadena Buddhist Church 1958 - The Tenth Anniversary - 1968 Minister's Residence Dedication November 24, 1968." The Nishimura and Nagata Family Papers contains items relating to the history of the Pasadena Buddhist Church, including photos of events and groups associated with the church like the Pasadena Buddhist Women's Association, the Young Buddhist League (BL), various Buddhist Church conferences, Judo competitions, and Kendo competitions. Materials also relate to the incarceration of the Nagata family at the Heart Mountain incarceration camp in Cody, Wyoming and include photographs of the family.
