Description
Red and white B-377PG shown visiting the Long Beach Douglas Aircraft facility. Nose of plane is open and side of plane says, "Aero Spacelines; Subsidiary of Unexcelled Inc." The American Aero Spacelines B-377PG Pregnant Guppy was a transport aircraft first flown in 1962, and developed by modifying a Boeing Stratocruiser (Boeing Model 367 Stratofreighter C-97 variation). It was designed for transporting large booster rockets during the Apollo space program. DATE NOTES: marked on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 5" x 7" color glossy print from slide. NEGATIVE: yes.
