Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated August 10, 1964 reads, "That's the new word for 'blockbuster,' meaning a best selling paperback." The article partially reads, "'Blockbuster' is the word that appears on nearly all paperback reprints of hard cover best sellers. Pyramid Books was tired of it. So the publishing house had a contest in search of a new word, offered a prize of $250, and Sherman Oaks bookseller Mrs. Roberta Whitehead won it. The new word is 'traffic-stopper.' Mrs. Whitehead, who is buyer and manager of Exodus Book Store, said she thought of 'traffic-stopper just off the top of my head.'"
