The Los Angeles Pet Cemetery (later renamed Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park), located in the city of Calabasas, was founded and dedicated on September 4, 1928 and is one of the oldest pet cemeteries on the West Coast. The cemetery is comprised of ten landscaped acres that provide a serene and peaceful resting place for over 40,000 animal companions. It is the final resting place for such celebrity animals as "Pete" (the Little Rascals' dog), "Topper" (Hopalong Cassidy's horse), and "Kabar" (Rudolph Valentino's faithful dog). The park is located at 5068 N. Old Scandia Lane and is open for visitation every day of the year.
