Description
„Häuptling Swelibangils zu dem August Mbigo redet“ („Chief Swelibangils to whom August Mbigo is talking“). Two men. One of them is sitting on a chair, wearing light coloured shoes and a suit. The other one is standing a bit behind, wearing a beard, a long coat, trousers and a shirt, holding his hat in his right hand and another object in his left. Apparently, he is having a peg leg. Both of them are smiling. In the background a hut and hills.
Richard Paul Moths, born in 1872 in Kösen (Germany), was a carpenter. In 1899 he married Helene Ledoux. From 1900 till 1948 he worked as a missionary in South Africa East (Silo, Baziya, Tabase). He died in 1950 in South Africa.
