Description
Cotton lawn or gauze ensemble: white tiered and gathered skirt with matching vest. Both trimmed with embroidered pattern of holly leaves and Pointsettia. Attached overskirt is embroidered; matching embroidery bands on the vest. Skirt waistband closed with one hook, and placket closed with metal snaps; skirt is a mix of hand-sewing and machine sewing. No manufacturer's tags on either, and evidence of alterations on the vest, so both probably home-made. Skirt tucks and vest seams done in hemstitching, vest arm openings edged with picot stitch.
