Description: One boxed set of lead pencils entitled 'Venus' Perfect Pencils, manufactured by the American Lead Pencil Co., New York and London, ca. 1910. The box was issued with 5 lead pencils and an eraser; only three pencils remain. On the top lid of the box is an illustrated range of the various degrees of color the pencils are available in: "Made in 17 black and 2 copying degrees: each degree guaranteed never to vary." Printed on the underside of the lid is information about the Venus eraser.
