Description
Helen married into the Hathaway family, whose history in Santa Fe Springs begins in 1890. She discusses the history of her husband's family in the town, as well as her own recollections. She mentions that the oil boom in Santa Fe Springs brought in prostitution and gambling. It is unusual for a Whittier-area oral history of this era to touch on those controversial subjects.
