Description
Taken on May 1, 1940, this photograph captures the California State Business and Professions Building, also known as State Office Building Number 3. Located at 1020 N Street, the structure was built in 1939 to house the State Department of Professional and Vocational Standards. The property was purchased in 1936 for 22,000 dollars from a couple living in the Point Reyes village of Inverness. In the lower, right-hand corner of the photograph is the turret of the California Fruit Exchange Building.
