Description
Republican mural, Beechmount Avenue/Falls Road, West Belfast, 1988. Mural shows Armalite rifle and symbol of African National Congress (ANC) with colours of ANC and Irish Tricolour mixed. Quote from Bobby Sands, 'We Aim to be Free'. Plaque declaring West Belfast an Apartheid Free Zone/ Ceantar Saor ó Apartheid, erected by Sinn Féin 1986. Mural painted on side of secon hand furniture store; green, white and gold kerbstones.
